VAX Open International: parkour in Hall in Tirol

A competition day for the parkour community

The event brought together youth competition, international athletes and opportunities to try movement activities. The historic setting at Marktanger made parkour visible and accessible to people in the town.

The idea behind VAX Open

Lukas Steiner describes VAX Open as a step toward bringing an international parkour format back to Austria. Hall is also home to the 4 Elements Academy. That connection between local development and an international stage was at the heart of the event.

Mustafa Karaca served as a D judge at the event. This story focuses on VAX Open, its organisers and the parkour community.
